Shihan Fumio Demura has Passed

On the morning of Monday, April 24, 2023, the martial arts world lost a living treasure. GSJK/CKK was honored and fortunate to cross paths with Shihan Demura at the Nick Cerio's Legacy Memorial on January 29, 2005, when both he and Sifu Bill Chun, Jr. were honored guests. Shihan Demura showed his great skill and generosity to a packed house that day. As he told the crowd at the evening's banquet, "I saw a student wanting to honor his teacher so I come." Shihan Demura never asked for a date before commiting. He proved to everyone that he was an even greater person than a marital artist. GSJK/CKK sends its most humble and sincere condelences to the Demura and Genbu-Kai family.
